A huge welcome to our newest members of our classroom! Aria, Kairangi and Jake. We are so excited to have you. You have all settled in so well! :O)

Room 1 are the Junior Reading Champions

Congratulations Room 1! You are the Junior Champions for Matarau School's Rugby World Cup Reading Challenge! Wow!
We were so excited to have Bruce Robertson (Former All Black) and Jordan Olsen (Former Matarau student and player in The Taniwha) present us with medals!
A special congratulations to Samara Walker for being the champion reader for our class, and to Corey Hamilton for being the most improved reader. Ka Pai Room 1!

Comrie Park Eco Day

We were so excited to attend Comrie Park Kindergarten's Eco Day! We were especially excited to be able to pat so many animals, but we enjoyed all the activities. We made clay bricks, caught bugs, made smoothies, healing cream and more! So much fun! Thank-you Comrie Park Kindy for welcoming us back! (Oh and a special big thank-you for letting my mother-in-law bring along my daughter. They absolutely LOVED it!)

Comrie Park Eco Day

Room 1 had so much fun visiting Comrie Park Kindergarten for the Eco Day.

Here are some stories that Room 1 wrote:

The kindy visit was so good! The bunny rabbits were like balls of fluff. I found Sandy Bud the sandfly and kept it as a pet.  Sandy Bud turned into a car. The lightning, fast car drove to the farmhouse. Alfred

The two little sheep are playing in their home. Ashton

The dog was running circles around me. Bodhi

The seahorse is as cute as a penguin. Connor

The sheep were nibbling my toes a little. It felt yucky! Riley

I caught an eel with a fishing rod. Samara

I love doggys! Aria

I combed a sheep at kindy. Kairangi
